Advisory Board Member, HR & Talent Management
Craig Howe
Recruitment & fintech expert, global traveler, fitness & sports enthusiast Intro About Myself A recruitment executive and talent acquisition professional by trade Craig is a traveled individual having left his hometown in the UK over 15 years ago and gained experiences living in Sydney, Australia and Singapore after back-packing adventures across China and South-East Asia. Settling in Singapore for over a decade he has established a successful career as a talent acquisition expert in the fintech and financial markets industries. Keeping fit and healthy is integral to Craig’s life and he can often be found lifting weights, cycling or participating in triathlons around the region! My journey to Sponsors in Tech: I started my recruiting career in 2010 in Australia, finding a niche in financial markets technology. Naturally two domains in dire need of diverse talent I would often receive requests from clients for diverse shortlists, but sometimes frustratingly only because of a quota the client needed to fill. Fast forward 5 years and a continental move to Singapore I was surprised to be taken back in time and found myself having the same conversations. Of course, delivering to clients’ requests was essential but it also struck a chord, as to why this was a problem in the first place. And as an integral part of many career decisions and strategic partner shaping how companies look, I realized I had to, and could do more to support diversity. That’s when I discovered GIT in 2019 and started volunteering ever since to enable the much-needed change.

Fiona Seng
Digital innovation & strategic partnerships leader, Diversity & Inclusion advocate Intro About Myself Fiona is a dedicated advocate for inclusion through education, focusing on empowering organizations in Singapore to become resilient and innovative through technology. Her current role involves fostering digital-first businesses by forming strategic partnerships with key stakeholders across governments, nonprofits and corporates and leading initiatives that promote sustainable digital advancement for Small Medium Businesses. My journey to Sponsors in Tech Embarking on a path within the technology sector was a serendipitous departure from my background in fine arts and social sciences. The first initiative I attended by Girls in Tech Singapore and Microsoft struck a chord, paving the way for a journey of discovery and growth in Tech. The chances to network and glean insights from peers and leaders alike have been invaluable in shaping my understanding of how non-technically trained individuals can likewise contribute and grow in the industry. These encounters have not only broadened my professional horizons but have also intensified my drive to make a meaningful impact within the tech sphere.
